Marianne has been teaching dance for over 25 years. Her students range from 3 year old ballerinas to advanced competitive dancers. Many of her students have gone on to dance in college, become professional dancers and choreographers, dance teachers and dance studio owners themselves.
As a young dancer, Marianne danced competitively and studied at many New York City studios. Growing up, Marianne was fortunate to have studied with several well known choreographers in the industry such as Joe Lanteri, Mia Michaels, Joe Istre and Janice Barringer who were on staff at her hometown dance studio. While receiving her bachelors degree in fine arts at the School of Visual Arts in NYC, she also studied dance at Broadway Dance Center, Steps On Broadway and West Side Dance Project. Marianne has attended several seminars learning the art of teaching dance under the direction of the great Al Gilbert, Darryl Retter and Rhee Gold.
Marianne has operated dance studios since she was 18. She has also been a judge for On Stage America dance competition since 2003. Traveling throughout the country with OSA has given her a priceless education on teaching, owning a studio and producing shows. Using her knowledge of the dance world, Marianne set out to create her own dance program called Forever Dancing.
As a young dancer and an aspiring studio owner, Robert Mann has always been an inspiration to Marianne. Robert Mann Dance Centre has been a staple in the dance community for 56 years providing dancers with a strong technical foundation. Over the years, Robert Mann has brought joy and love for dance to countless students. After an incredible career, Mr. Mann had decided to retire. To her honor, Marianne was offered the opportunity to continue the Robert Mann legacy. It is Marianne's pleasure to keep the Robert Mann tradition flourishing.
Forever Dancing Robert Mann is a family business and as any dancer knows, your dance studio is your second family. Marianne will continue to create a dance program based on her experiences in the dance world but also from the perspective of a parent. Forever Dancing Robert Mann combines advanced technical training with a fun, versatile environment. At Forever Dancing, we want to help dancers be well-rounded and prepared for all aspects of the dance world.
